Her focus and deep expertise are in navigating governance, compliance, employment, and organizational matters, and she works to help build strong, sustainable legal foundations.

 

Alyssa’s approach is a practical and solutions-oriented one, grounded in a longtime understanding of the operational realities facing nonprofits. Her broad experience in labor and nonprofit law enables her to translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance, and she is known for collaborative partnerships with boards, executives, and staff towards an efficient and thoughtful resolution of challenges.

Chris Logue is an attorney and co-founder of AppleTree Legal, bringing over 15 years of legal experience and a lifetime of dedication to nonprofit missions. 

 

His fascination with nonprofit operations is rooted in first-hand roles at all levels of nonprofit operations, including executive leadership and board service. He’s proud to have provided legal support to organizations of all sizes, from local volunteer-run entities to global nonprofits.

QUIGLEY

director of legal operations

has an extensive background in labor and employment law, compliance, and workplace culture. Her past roles include director of human resources, outside counsel, and nonprofit board member. Having worked with start-ups, mid-sized organizations, and large, multi-state corporations, she has supported a wide array of entities with expertise in contracts, policies and handbooks, payroll and benefits, recruiting, hiring, accommodation and leave management, compensation, and employee feedback and culture. Her approach is built on empathy and broad consideration in order to solve challenges with respect, clarity, and integrity. Throughout her numerous roles, she has brought a collective and collaborative mindset to prioritize deep listening, trust-building, and significant impact.

MILLER

attorney

has dedicated her career to working with nonprofits. She has served in a wide variety of roles, including staff attorney, senior advisor, and board member. Like other members of the AppleTree team, she has first-hand appreciation for the challenges facing nonprofits and how best to support them. Her approach is pragmatic and of a collaborative spirit. With each situation, she strives to understand clients’ needs, provide informed, actionable advice, and implement effective solutions.

Nasha resides in the Hudson Valley with her husband, daughter, and two cats.
